Favourite cocktail spot in London?
MNKY HSE, Mayfair
What do you never leave the house without?
My phone & lip balm
Best secret spot to visit in Lagos?
Elegushi International Market (I make sure to visit at least once a week)
Best advice your mom gave you?
My mother is an encyclopaedia of good advice and potential Instagram captions & quotes, so its rather difficult to pin point just one. But my current favourites would have to be those associated with God (my faith) being a leader in all aspects of my life and my career, being fearless, embracing opposition and adversity, staying kind, remaining true to my aesthetic, my craft and who i am as an individual (my west african royal heritage and my diverse background) and to continue to live to inspire.
What did you last shop online for?
A trip to Copenhagen
Wardrobe essentials for London and wardrobe essentials for Lagos?
My London essentials include a cross body bag or petite tote, vast amount of boots (as you can never have too many), high waisted trousers (more so than jeans or skirts) jackets in all forms, flattering hats for early starts and bad hair days, matching co-ords (preferably knit) and Lastly, A statement coat to spruce up an otherwise ordinary outfit.
My lagos essentials on the other hand, include, a trunk load of bikinis, flowy kaftans/ beach sets, sunglasses, strappy sandals and espadrilles, chunky ethnic necklaces, all things cotton and linen for the intense heat.
Do you have a hidden talent?
Singing, I’m constantly singing and was in the choir at the early stages of my life.
If you had to pick one city to live in for the rest of your life which one would it be?
It would definitely have to be a fashion capital, I’m torn between London and paris.
Where is your fave city to holiday, and why?
Paris in Spring/Summer, without a doubt. The rustic romantic edge of this fashion hub makes me feel a little like Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City. From its history, to its people, to its art, to the language, to its food, to the culture at large. There is an abundance of beauty & inspiration, and having been well received in my industry from my frequent visits over the years, it has made networking fairly seamless and widened my creative perspective and opportunities.
Next country on your bucket list and why?
Bali, Indonesia. It strikes me as a destination that one visits, to cleanse, renew and rebuild, on a mental and spiritual level. Not to mention the aesthetic perfection in its surroundings. That is my idea of a worthwhile vacation.
