One month and 3 weeks after stumbling upon what is possibly the most inspiringly stylish movie of all time (1985’s Perfect starring Jamie Lee Curtis and John Travolta) I have finally managed to create the world’s most retro heavy edit to send your activewear wardrobe right back to where it belongs. Back to the ’80s!
There is wall art featuring Arnie (aka the Governator), leg warmers with quite frankly an over-generous amount of leg warming length for my stubby little trotters, and sweatbands which will have you finger gunning a bunch of hotties as you backwards jog past them quicker than you can say ‘bodacious.’
We have also got a few of our fave new PE Nation must-haves for this season. Because as everybody who’s anybody knows if Pip Edwards says it's too cool for school then it belongs as a staple in our workout wardrobes, like yesterday! Also there’s nothing more retro than a reversible parachute material bomber jacket so she was pretty much guaranteed gold on The X Cartel retro podium!
We are so gosh darn extra that we have even sourced the most blinged-out water bottles on the planet, from the planet and good for the planety planet! Our glass-bodied, genuine crystal, water infusers will have you feeling so zen and hydrated that you’ll be levitating all the way to your next downward doggy in style.
So as I pass the baton of retro responsibility over to you my dreamy readers I just ask one thing in return, that you make sure you find some time to sit your peachy asses down in front of a screen somewhere and soak up the glory that is Jamie Lee Curtis in a bodystocking and tights. As Wayne and Garth would say, ‘We’re not worthy!’
